I am delighted to inform you that arrangements have been made for our third EMEA Content Management User Group Meeting. The meeting will be held at the IBM Forum in Amsterdam, Johan Huizingalaan 765, 1066 VH Amsterdam; Tel: +31 (0) 20 513 3728; Fax: +31 (0) 20 6699855. Please arrive by 12.45pm at the IBM Forum Reception where you will be issued with a name badge. We will start on Tuesday 15th March at 1 pm and conclude on Wednesday 16th March at 4 pm.
Again we will be hosted by Mr Cock van der Ploeg, of IBM's CF EMEA Image Group in Amsterdam. At our last meeting, Cock explained how his group are using IBM's CM applications across EMEA. As Project Manager of this group, Cock will be able to share his experiences of their recent migration. There is no charge for attending this meeting, but all travel and hotel expenses are your own responsibility. So please put this date in your diary and respond to the registration address below as soon as possible.

This rate is per room per night and includes tax @5% and breakfast @€17.50. To receive this rate quote 'Gill Dawson' as reference. Rooms will be held by the Mercure Hotel at this rate up to 1 month prior to the meeting i.e. 14th February 2005.

business Worldwide implementation of an Accounts Payable System John will explain IBM's global accounts payable operation which is supported by 13 different SAP systems and spans across Europe the US and Asia Pacific. This is a 4,000 user system using both CM eClient and Windows Client. Possibly adding, if there's time, a comparison to other Customers in Europe. |

| 15:00 | CM V7 to V8 Migration experiences Our customer in Switzerland, has been a Content Manager user in a number of European countries for some years now and started the migration process to CM V8 in 2004. In this presentation, they will outline their use of Content Manager, how they approached the planning of the migration and what actually happened. He will review some of the issues he encountered and what lessons they have learnt from the process. Dave Bartlett spent a number of weeks in the IBM Santa Teresa Development Laboratory in late 2003 as one of the authors of the IBM Redbook 'Content Manager Implementation and Migration Cookbook (SG24-7051)'. Since then he has gained a wealth of experience in migrating customer systems to CM V8. Dave will review the contents of the Redbook together with other aspects of migrating customer systems that he has learnt since the Redbook was written. |
