Session Speaker: Resli Costabell

Session Chairman: James Harper (Barclays Bank plc)

When: Tuesday 28th October @ 18:00

Where: Kenilworth Suite

Abstract:

Wish it were easier to get others to see your point of view?

Feel frustrated when people don't grasp the value of your ideas?

Want to hear others agreeing with you more often?

This interactive session is for people who want to upgrade their motivating and influencing skills. It's based on hard data and scientific evidence. And a lot of it will surprise you.

For example, the Petrified Forest National Park wanted to motivate visitors to keep the park intact. But when they put up signs asking people not to remove wood from the forest, thefts increased by nearly 8%. You'll find out why. And because this session isn't targeted at forest rangers, we'll work out how you can take what they learned and apply it to your own work, so you get more buy-in for your own ideas.

You'll learn some of the techniques, tools and language tips that top influencers use, and learn how to apply these ethically. So if you wonder how leading advertisers, movers & shakers, sales people, scientists and politicians get other people to take up their ideas - and you'd like a bit of that for yourself - I'll see you there!

Resli Costabell is an award-winning speaker, specialising in Emotional Intelligence. She is known for her entertaining style, high level of interaction with participants, and 'stop you in your tracks' questions that lead to genuine insights.

Lists of fancy qualifications and impressive clients are available to insomniacs.

Individuals say that at Resli's sessions, you stretch your brain, learn a lot, and have a great time. Organisations say that Resli gets real results and leaves people feeling valued. Her grandmother says that Resli should stand up straighter.
