This session will explore how to manage storage hardware with IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center and System Storage Productivity Center (SSPC). We'll start with our new integrated storage hardware console product - SSPC. Then we'll turn to TPC for Disk and TPC for Fabric (SAN FCP availability and performance), where we'll cover management, performance reporting, problem identification and resolution, monitoring and alerting in a storage environment.
Scott Drummond is the Worldwide Program Director, Storage Networking, for the IBM Systems Group. Scott's career in Information Technology began in 1977, when he was an IBM customer doing applications and systems programming.
In 1982, he joined IBM and since has held a variety of technical and management positions including roles in product development, sales, business development and marketing. A frequent speaker in over 30 countries, Scott's subject area expertise includes distributed/mainframe storage and storage management, data sharing and Storage Networking (SANs and NAS).
Scott holds a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of Georgia
