The objective of this session is to give a basis overview of what RACF is; what it's major componets are and how it would be typically deployed in a zOS environment.
David is Senior Security Architect at Capital One where he is also responsible for managing the Solutions Architecture team. Prior to joining Capital One, in March, David held a number of roles at Aviva primarily in the field of IT Security.
After graduating from Edinburgh, David took a commission in the RAF and served for some ten years before changing career and moving into the IT industry. He qualified for Membership of the British Computer Society and, later, for Chartered Engineer by the professional examination route winning the Sidney Michaelson Medallion in 1993. By 1995, his then employers, a Government Agency, were using his hybrid skills in security and IT to lead the drive against computer chip theft leading to a television appearance in early 1996. David has spoken at an industry level on many occasions on topics as varied as Corporate Governance, Wireless Networking, ISO 21827, Security Metrics and Outsourcing Contracts. As well as his BCS qualifications, David is CISSP, CISM, a TOGAF enterprise architect practitioner and a Management of Risk practitioner.
