Abstract:

This presentation is a discussion about DHL's experience in converting from one ISV to another for IMS utilities.

Steve George is Senior IMS DBA at DHL Airborne Express in BelleVue, Washington. An IT veteran of some 35 years, Steve started his career as a Cobol programmer in 1974 before moving into a Database Administration role with responsibilities for IMS utilities in 1976. In 1983 Steve joined Airborne Express and he stayed on after their merger with DHL where he continues to support their Business Critical IMS environment.
