Abstract:

This presentation covers web service basics and how web services are implemented in CICS. Covering topics on WSDL, batch processing of WSDL and language structures, RDO definitions, and how the CICS runtime processes web service requests.

Ian Hodges is an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM Hursley Laboratories, UK, in the CICS TP Web Services development team. Previously Ian led the WebSphere UDDI Registry development team implementing IBM's UDDI solution. Ian has over 20 years of experience in mainframe and distributed systems development and is a Sun Certified Java Developer.
