Abstract:

This session gives you an opportunity to try out some simple Assembler Language programs and/or macro instructions: create, edit, execute them, and print the results. Experienced and tactful help will be available. Practice what you've learned in the Assembler Boot Camp classes.

After graduating from the University of Illinois (where I contracted an enduring computer virus), I worked at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, mainly in user support. I joined IBM in 1983, working initially on Fortran and inter-language issues, and in the early 1990s assumed responsibility for the High Level Assembler.
