This session provides an overview of the IBM System z Storage Management strategy and how it ensures existing and future investments are well positioned to satisfy growing z business demands. The session will also show how the strategy enhances a customer's systems management posture. Details are provided about each layer of the IBM System z Storage Management strategy: Process management, IBM Service Management foundation and Operational management.
Scott Drummond is the Worldwide Program Director, Storage Networking, for the IBM Systems Group. Scott's career in Information Technology began in 1977, when he was an IBM customer doing applications and systems programming.
In 1982, he joined IBM and since has held a variety of technical and management positions including roles in product development, sales, business development and marketing. A frequent speaker in over 30 countries, Scott's subject area expertise includes distributed/mainframe storage and storage management, data sharing and Storage Networking (SANs and NAS).
Scott holds a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of Georgia
