Abstract:

This session provides an overview and details of the SCRT tool process for the WLC sub-capacity licensed product reporting and billing process. This "how to" session will answer all your questions on how to take advantage of this license type to better control your software costs

John joined IBM Canada in 1976 as a Systems Engineer. He has held various positions in technical sales support, software product development, hardware sales and marketing with IBM in both the USA and Canada. He is currently part of the worldwide "Topgun" IBM software sales education team. Prior to this he consulted with IBM clients throughout the world on mainframe software asset management issues. He developed and taught the "Managing Mainframe Software Costs" class to over 500 clients. John has been the keynote speaker in the Software Asset Management track at SHARE and has spoken at many industry conferences in North America, Europe and Australia. He is a frequent speaker at IBM mainframe briefings for clients and internal training classes. He holds a B.A.Sc degree in Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
