Session Speaker: Moses Phiri (Deloitte LLP)Session Chairman: Dave Kirk (Protean (GB) Ltd)When: Wednesday 4th November @ 15:30Where: Monza |

The process of managing software licenses, vendors, and related contracts across the enterprise has become increasingly complex. Most organizations lack a clear picture of their software installations, licenses, and maintenance agreements, and have overspent on many applications. The problem lies in the growing complexity of software licensing models and contract terms and conditions. Often there's a disconnect between IT and procurement so you've got one part of the organisation buying software and another that's responsible for using it and knows how much [the company] should have. When those two don't work well together, you're not buying the right quantity or you're not buying the right thing. This session will help bridge the gap between deployment and entitlement and help you prepare for mainframe software compliance.
Moses is a Manager within Information & Technology Risk practice in Deloitte UK (http://www.deloitte.co.uk/ers) and is responsible for delivery of IBM Mainframe Software Compliance projects.
