Enterprise Extender, fuelled by the demise of the 3745, is the technology of choice for preserving SNA application investment while eliminating the need for a dedicated SNA backbone. The use of Enterprise Extender to carry SNA traffic across an IP network or even the Internet for SNI replacement raises some security issues. This session discusses the security considerations associated with Enterprise Extender and examines the various technologies available to address these concerns.
