Implementing and using cryptography on the mainframe is still a bit of a black art. Lennie will discuss a variety of practical tips and techniques that he has gleaned from a number of technical engagements. In particular he will discuss some of the finer aspects of using the z/OS crypto APIs.
Lennie Dymoke-Bradshaw has been an IT Specialist at IBM for 11 years. He has worked in mainframe computing since 1975, when he started applications programming in PL/I. He currently works for the Software Group, having recently moved from the Integrated Technology Services organisation in the U.K. delivering System z services and consultancy. During his career, he has maintained an interest in programming. In recent years, he has concentrated on engagements in cryptography. He was technical co-ordinator of the RACF G.U.I.D.E. organisation in the UK for several years.
