Abstract:

This session will look at some basic principles of cryptography, and then will show how z/OS and ICSF use them. This is an introductory session that is not aimed at those with experienced in cryptography and ICSF on z/OS. Nevertheless some time will be spent looking at some of the recent System z cryptographic announcements from IBM.

Lennie Dymoke-Bradshaw currently works in IBM Software Group Technical pre-sales, supporting System z customers in matters relating to security and encryption. He has been working with IBM Mainframes since the mid-1970s, in applications programming, systems programming, operating systems debugging and much associated services work for IBM customers. He has 30 years experience in RACF and has been working in z/OS cryptography and ICSF for the last eight years.
