Abstract:

DB2 9 introduces many new settings and features, this session will concentrate on a number of those that are included specifically to help eek out every last ounce of performance from DB2.

Andy has been working in the mainframe arena for the past 21 years. During the last 16 of which he has specialised on DB2, working as both a DBA for a large insurance company in the UK and with a number of DB2 tools vendors including; Platinum Technology, BMC and most recently CA. He speaks regularly at user groups and works with DB2 on a daily basis ensuring CA's customers are gaining the maximum benefit from the CA DB2 solutions in their environments, concentrating specifically on; performance, administration and backup and recovery.
