Abstract:

BCS MTP is the only independent certification scheme that enables mainframe technicians to certify their skills and capabilities throughout their career. These qualifications were developed following demand from major UK and US banks who required a structured exam path for their employees to assess ongoing development and to determine recruitment and promotion globally. These exams have seen strong growth and have received a warm welcome across the world since their launch in early 2007. This presentation will explain the origins, the progress so far, the international expansion and some of the future plans for BCS MTP. If you are interested in your career, this is a presentation worth watching.

Simon has worked in various marketing roles within the financial services and fleet industry, along with the pub and charity sector. He is currently the International Account Manager for BCS which involves the ongoing management, accreditation, marketing and international development of BCS MTP, as well as the marketing and sales for a number other qualifications. He is a passionate Liverpool FC supporter and also enjoys travelling and rugby. He lives in Swindon with his wife, Charlise, and two small kittens.
