Abstract:

IBM CICS Explorer(r) has three goals: to simplify and modernize CICS for new developers and administrators, to add value to experienced CICS users, and to provide a tools integration platform for IBM and others to extend and grow. This session demonstrates the reason behind the importance of each goal, and what CICS Explorer delivers to achieve each of these targets. By the end of the session, attendees will have a clear understanding of the CICS Explorer, have seen a number of demonstrations and be more familiar with its potential, and also have a roadmap for the future.

Chris Hodgins has been a developer on CICSPlex SM for the past 4 years, including recently being heavily involved the development of the CICS Management Client Interface. Chris is also one of the main co-authors of the unofficial CICS blog, The Master Terminal (http://themasterminal.com).
