Abstract:

CICSPlex SM's Workload Management function routes work requests to the most suitable CICS region in a CICSplex. This session will explain the way in which Workload Management currently works and the changes that have been made to optimise throughput in CICS TS V4.1. It will then detail the WUI view changes that accompany the optimisation, before finishing off with a demonstration that compares optimised and non-optimised workloads.

Steve has worked at IBM for 10 years and is currently working on CICSplex System Manager (CPSM). He previously worked on Airline Control System (ALCS) and MQSeries within IBM and before that worked in airline Global Distribution Systems (GDS) for Galileo, Qantas and British Airways.
