AG: CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V3 Monitoring and Statistics

Abstract:

Attend this session to hear about the latest enhancements to CICS Monitoring and Statistics in CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V3.2. Did you know that you can now monitor file and temporary storage queue usage by transaction or that you can now reduce the CICS SMF data volume by using SMF 110 monitoring record compression? No? Well, come to this presentation to hear about these and some of the other many enhancements to CICS monitoring and statistics data in support of the new functions in CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V3.2. Topics such as the monitoring and statistics data for the CICS Web services support, IP Connectivity, WebSphere MQ, and the Open Transaction Environment (OTE) will all be covered as well as the latest updates to the utility and sample programs including the ever popular statistics sample program DFH0STAT.

Chris Baker is a Senior Software Engineer in the CICS/390 development group at the CICS Development, IBM Hursley Laboratory. He has over 25 years experience on the CICS product and has design and development responsibilities for the Monitoring and Statistics components of CICS Transaction Server for z/OS and also the CICS Performance Analyzer for z/OS product.
