This presentation introduces the concepts and value of a Web services repository as a metadata repository for service descriptions, including a closer look at how the WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR) fulfils this role. We will also look at how the recent CICS SupportPac CA1N can be used to automatically register WSDL that represents CICS Web service providers and extract WSDL that can be used by CICS Web service requesters.
Dan Millwood is a Software Engineer in the CICS / 390 test team, IBM Hursley Laboratory, where he leads a team focusing on the interoperability of CICS with other software products. Dan joined CICS in 2005. Prior to that, he helper develop WebSphere MQ for z/OS and WebSphere Application Server platform messaging and Web services functionality.
